Seven Clean Seas has removed over 1.8 million kilograms of plastic from our oceans since 2018 and makes sure it’s properly managed rather than dumped back into the environment – a shining example of SDG 12.4 in action.

Manufacturing is powered entirely by solar energy, and each product comes in 100% recyclable packaging designed for circularity. VeganicSKN’s reef-safe sunscreen avoids harmful chemical runoff (no oxybenzone, no octinoxate), and its packaging impact is offset through Seven Clean Seas – together directly advancing SDG 14.1: Reduce Marine Pollution.
Reef Check engages citizen scientists to monitor reef health in over 100 countries and support coral restoration efforts. Its data informs scientists and policymakers, guiding stronger reef protection measures. Seven Clean Seas removes plastic pollution from key coastal areas, reducing harm to marine wildlife and coral habitats. VeganicSKN’s reef-safe sunscreen protects marine life and supports reef health. Together, these efforts drive the recovery of marine ecosystems, aligning with SDG 14.2.

Reef Check Australia and Seven Clean Seas help protect marine ecosystems in line with SDG 14.5 by focusing on reef monitoring and large-scale plastic removal. Reef Check Australia has completed over 700 reef health surveys, engaging citizen scientists to gather data that informs conservation efforts. Seven Clean Seas has removed more than 4 million kg of plastic from coastal environments, preventing damage to vital habitats. Together, they bolster the resilience of coral reefs and coastal zones from the Great Barrier Reef to Southeast Asia.
Community Science for Ocean Health
​VeganicSKN’s partnership with Reef Check Australia supports citizen-driven research for ocean conservation. Through product-linked donations, VeganicSKN funds training for 300+ volunteer divers who've conducted 600+ reef health surveys, building a valuable long-term dataset on coral reef conditions. Volunteer data collection matches professional scientific standards, highlighting community strength in marine monitoring. This collaboration clearly demonstrates SDG 14.a in action, advancing scientific knowledge and research capacity for healthier oceans.

Seven Clean Seas is an environmental organisation focused on removing plastic pollution from oceans and rivers. Since its inception, they have removed over 2.9 million kilograms of plastic waste through various cleanup efforts. Reef Safe has partnered with Seven Clean Seas to provide a plastic offset for every one our sunscreen tube's made.
